{"id":2934,"date":"2015-05-16T15:08:27","date_gmt":"2015-05-16T12:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journal-ene.gr\/?p=2934"},"modified":"2026-11-05T15:56:39","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T13:56:39","slug":"sting-od-the-home-healthcare-perception-questionnaire-h-hc-p-q","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/periodiko.yaba.gr\/en\/sting-od-the-home-healthcare-perception-questionnaire-h-hc-p-q\/","title":{"rendered":"Sting od the Home HealthCare Perception Questionnaire (H.HC.P.Q)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Introduction:<\/strong> Although home healthcare is one of the oldest types of care there are no instruments concerning\u00a0public\u2019s perceptions on it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> Development and testing of the home healthcare perception questionnaire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Method:<\/strong> Knowledge scale and attitude scale were constructed using Classic Test Theory. A cross-sectional\u00a0survey was employed to collect data for the pilot study. The study took place in the Metaxa Oncology Hospital,\u00a0Pireas, Greece in a convenience sample of 100 persons (October-December, 2010). Ethical approval was\u00a0granted by the hospital\u2019s board and scientific committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Results:<\/strong> Correlational analysis was used to test stability reliability resulting in a Pearson coefficient rp=0.81\u00a0(p&lt;0.001) for the knowledge scale and in a rp=0.67 (p&lt;0.01) for the attitude scale. Internal consistency\u00a0reliability was tested (a) by using Cronbach\u2019s \u03b1 coefficient which resulted in an \u03b1=0.75 for the knowledge\u00a0scale and in an \u03b1=0.85 for the attitude scale and (b) by employing factor analysis which resulted in 4 factors\u00a0for the knowledge scale and in 9 factors for the attitude scale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong> 14 items were developed for the knowledge scale and 32 items for the attitude scale that\u00a0attribute satisfactory public\u2019s perceptions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Key words:<\/strong> home healthcare, hospice healthcare, knowledge and attitude on home healthcare, questionnaire\u00a0development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction: Although home healthcare is one of the oldest types of care there are no instruments concerning\u00a0public\u2019s perceptions on it.
