Regarding anesthesia scientific field, patient\u2019s safety is defended by the\u00a0implementation of records, such as the check list and the record and report of the adverse events in the\u00a0perioperative environment. There have been several efforts to establish regulations that promote safety\u00a0in the perioperative care.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Aim:<\/strong> This study aims to review the existing knowledge regarding safety and quality during anesthesia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Results:<\/strong> WHO suggests the Check List as a method to enhance safety practices and to culture the teamwork\u00a0and communication among members involved during surgery. Recent data show that the implementation\u00a0of Check List results to mortality and perioperative complications\u2019 reduction. The European guidelines\u00a0include guidelines regarding the preoperative patients\u2019 management,, the equipment, the audits and the\u00a0labeling of syringes and routes of administration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusions:<\/strong> The protection of patient\u2019s health and the defendence of the perioperative safety require the\u00a0implementation of other interdisciplinary checklists and the strict compliance of the related guidelines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Key- words:<\/strong> anesthesia, check list, guidelines, safety, surgery<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction: Patient\u2019s safety consists the main aim of strong efforts of international medical and scientific\u00a0organizations and institutions.
